Siete de cada diez bodegueros convencidos de vender más en 2018
Pese a la fuerte competencia de los mercados de abasto, cadenas de minimarkets y supermercados, siete de cada diez bodegueros de Lima Metropolitana se mantienen optimistas y consideran que este 2018, sus ventas serán mayores a las del 2017, según una reciente encuesta a 197 conductores de bodegas realizada por la Asociación de Bodegueros del Perú (ABP).
Según esa encuesta, un 15% señala que se mantendrá igual con respecto al año anterior y un 6% considera que decrecerá.
Respecto de cómo les fue en el 2017, el 47% indicó que les fue ?regular? por la ?mayor competencia en el mercado?; o por ?falta de capital y organización?, o ?pocas ventas?, en tanto, un 38% dijo que les fue ?bien?.
Según la encuesta, los conductores de bodegas señalan que su principal competencia son las cadenas de minimarkets, seguida de ?otras bodegas?.

DPS helicopter damaged by bird strike back in service
KINGMAN (AP) ? A state Department of Public Safety helicopter based in Kingman is back in service after being grounded for repairs to damage from a bird strike that occurred during an early morning flight.
The DPS says the helicopter was returning to its base in Kingman early on April 29 after a search mission when a bird broke through the aircraft’s left front chin bubble.
According to DPS, Trooper-Paramedic Daniel Townsend described the impact as a series of loud thuds accompanied by a sudden rush of air, debris, bird blood and other bird remains into the cockpit.
Townsend and pilot John Haverly weren’t injured and Haverly landed the helicopter safely near Williams.
DPS spokesman Quentin Mehr says FAA-certified DPS aircraft technicians repaired the aircraft and it returned to service Monday.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Freed after more than a year in prison, three Americans flew homeward from North Korea late Tuesday toward a big middle-of-the-night celebration featuring President Donald Trump — the latest sign of improving relations between longtime adversaries in the buildup to a historic summit between Trump and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.
Trump promised “quite a scene” at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington for the detainees, who were released as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited North Korea on Wednesday to finalize plans for the summit. Singapore was the likely site, late this month or in early June, for Trump’s most ambitious foreign policy effort yet.
Shortly after they touched down on American soil in Alaska — for a refueling stop Wednesday afternoon— the State Department released a statement from the freed men.
